Amazing Grace
Amazing grace can set the captives free
from fraud that includes a forbidden tree.
I am not ashamed to have a tailbone.
That fact undermines Duke’s belief in hell.
Grace frees Christians from the lie that blames Eve
when smart phones expose help slay the bible’s tall tale.
We can tell the truth about why we’ve lost our tail
or we can lie to children and say, “‘God’ sends souls to hell.”
Duke’s choosing to roll with
the Holy Bible’s lie
because their integrity
is weakened by their lie.
I’m not rolling with the lie
that’s tripped JD and Coach K.
Our acquiescence must die
or it leads to our decay.
Let’s embrace the freedom to believe in ‘God’
and ask a question.
