No one enjoys reading about how Duke Divinity is putting lipstick on a pig so believers can believe they are going to heaven.
In a more perfect union, where truth is ‘Lord’ we transcend primitive fundamentalism’s heresy. When ‘God’ blesses America the blessing allows us to transcend primitive fundamentalism’s heresy.
What does that mean in our here and now?
If you, as an American who wants to live ‘in the land of the free,’ could choose between being ‘a disciple of Jesus’ with truth as Lord or being a disciple with Jesus Christ, Judgment Day and the belief that Satan is real, would you choose ‘Jesus’ with the whole truth as Lord or the make-believe?
When ‘God’ blesses America ‘justice for all’ replaces Adam and Eve with the acceptance of why we have tailbones … instead of why we go to hell if we don’t bend the knee to the rib bone fib and covet Duke Divinity’s childish make-believe.
Would ‘Jesus’ want anyone to covet a lie? No. Can anyone at Duke Divinity stand up and say “I do not have a tailbone that did not grow a tail,” Mike?” Can you? I can. Does that mean I am godlier than you are? No. Does it mean I believe it is wrong to teach children with a lie? Yes. Should you also believe it is wrong to covet or teach with a lie? Yes. If you say, “We need Catholicism’s two cents” knowing no one ate fruit from a forbidden tree, I’d have to say you suffer from serious cognitive dissonance. I’m sure my own mind is a lot more muddled than yours, but on this one point … who in their right mind can say, “we need to teach children with a lie.” That’s irresponsible. I know we all want our children to grow up and be as close to perfect as literacy can make them. Duke can do better. America is dying because the rib bone fib leads all Christians astray.
