When 2 + 2 = 5, we empower Adam and Eve. When people believe Satan is real grace has been poisoned.  I’ve heard of a few school board meetings that have gone a little south because of childish make-believe being called “the word of God for the people of God.”

When Adam and Eve are the cornerstone for the existence of the Klan, the imagery of Christ serves to corrupt our ‘memories’ of Jesus with affection for the doctrine of atonement. The imagery is lipstick for the rib bone fib, which uses the death of Jesus and another ‘rib’ to resurrect “Christ Jesus.” When our capacity for affection is manipulated by fiction someone has exploited our credulity and left us believing something that is not true. Something that is not true that is taught ‘to be true’ is heresy. Heresy is hokum. Hokum leads to chaos, division, and strife when SCOTUS says, “all perjured truth is protected by the religion clause if it is found in the bible. We control the horizontal and the vertical. We can roll the image and make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity.”

The hokum’s become the reason for the season
normalizing the ill-will that’s led to treason.
