When people are forced to do something that they do not want to do they are coerced. The coercion leaves them shackled with resentment. When the mind is shackled with resentment it is not free.

Necessity causes coal miners to dig coal. Coal miners are bright enough to understand the consequences for what they do but they also have families to take care of. Can necessity be evil if it destroys our hope for a better tomorrow?
