Cognitive dissonance makes us see through a ‘glass darkly.’ When ‘John’ peers through the ‘glass’ that represents his faith, (Judaism 2.0) he sees a God who wants him to support teaching children with perjured truth so respect for the Pope can be a shield for sustaining the fraud that makes Adam and Eve a thorn in Uncle Sam’s quest to empower equality, liberty, and justice for all. (Very long sentence structure. Could be shorter. I’ll think about it.)
