Imagine asking a class of third graders if God can do math. (We are working with the assumption that the students are attending a private school that also clubbed them with a rib bone fib and told them that God sends souls to hell.)
Most children in the third grade understand 2 + 2 = 4. Let’s pull a rabbit out of the hat and dazzle Congress.
Let’s ask ‘God’ to elaborate. Does ‘godliness’ require integrity?
Which answer best describes ‘God’ in a proper state of mind?
(The third graders must choose between a and b.)
a. God: “When the truth is Lord 2 + 2 must always equal 4.”
b. God: “I can make all things work together for your good. Sometimes (2 )+ (2) must equal 5 because (everyone needs to believe I am the God of purgatory and hell fire) and (everyone must believe that Satan is real.)”
(Remember, we are addressing the primary catalyst for Congressional illiteracy with the help of a third grade math class.)
Collective well-being begins when literacy allows all third graders to understand 2 + 2 must equal 4.
The Pope wants 2 + 2 to equal 5 so children can be told to believe they should eat fruit from a forbidden tree and escape the wrath of God.
the pope: “Just celebrate Christmas and Easter and all will be well with your souls. Don’t worry about the fact you have a tailbone. Don’t worry about our choosing to make 2 + 2 equal 5. Just acquiesce to our ignorance and you can go to heaven!”
little johnny: “I’m confused. If ignorance makes people walk with ‘a form of godliness that denies the power thereof’ and people are stupid if they believe 2 + 2 can equal 5, why would God want us to acquiesce to ignorance stamped holy? We shouldn’t become Catholics.”
kathy sue: “God does not. God wants to bless America with equality, liberty, and justice for all. Christians want God to excuse their desire to covet ignorance stamped holy.”
little annie: “Why doesn’t SCOTUS stop the madness and make teachers use the truth instead of fraud?”
kathy sue: “That’s an excellent question. SCOTUS thinks ignorance from perjured truth must be protected by the freedom of religion clause.”
little johnny: “SCOTUS is making 2 + 2 = 5. Justice for all cannot be real in America if God cannot do math, and God obviously doesn’t want us to believe that Satan is real because God can do math. When the truth is Lord, we don’t eat the fruit and believe the nonsense that begins with Adam and Eve (et al.) being tempted with childish make-believe.”
