Dear pastor Chuck,
My name is Forrest and I was in a movie once. (1994) I’ve just learned that everyone in Christ has been sucker punched by the fiction that helped many believe a snake could talk. Now we both know snakes can’t really talk, but we pretend that they can and our pretending goes all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Did you know a talking snake could make a chief justice perpetuate high treason?
We know you are smart enough to understand why your tailbone does not have a tail, and that you once served as a U.S. Marine. Do you think it is possible for cognitive dissonance to cause people to think it is okay to teach children with a lie?
If you think it is wrong to teach children with a lie, and you tell them that “God cursed Eve for tempting Adam,” you are helping people believe Jesus rose from the dead to save their souls from hell. If ‘good news‘ comes from ‘God,’ can ‘God’ use the lie to make children believe? If ‘God’ wouldn’t or ‘God’ couldn’t use a lie, why do the Christians who claim their Bibles tell them “what is right from wrong” teach children with the lie?
We know you will not say “it is not a lie” because you are smart enough to know why your tailbone has no tail. To be fair, we’re not sure that pastor ric is. Can you help a weaker brother, wash his feet with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and help him see that ‘God’ did not create Adam and Eve? It’s important. The mental health, security, and economic well being of our nation is at stake. The GOP has turned into Babylon’s whore.
We know this will be problematic. That’s what ‘going the second mile’ is all about. Christians must renounce the belief that Satan is real, because ‘God’ never cursed Eve. That means Jesus didn’t really rise from the dead and that we have all been brainwashed by Christmas and Easter. We need to empower equality, liberty, and justice for all, pastor chuck, not club children with a lie and call it ‘grace’ or ‘good news’ from ‘God.’ Will you help? Our nation “turns its lonely eyes to you!”
