that begins when perjured truth taints grace with
the fiction promising eternal life. 

We have ancestors who once lived in trees.
Genesis obscures that truth with a ruse.
Grace helps us chuckle at these chimpanzees.
Which one’s pretending heresy’s ‘good news?’
