Imagine God blessing America with ‘umbrella grace.’ Its like the imagined second coming of Jesus, where he pulls off his majestic cape, lays it across a puddle of mud (patriarchy), gently offers his hand, and says ‘God is sorry!’
Jesus won’t be making it back as the gentleman’s doppelganger. He’s out of the blue and into the black. The best I can offer is the hope that SCOTUS can rectify the problems that hinder the empowerment of equality, liberty, and justice for all. They’ve just refused to hear a church case demanding it be given the right to worship in areas where public gatherings are considered a threat to the well being of folk who believe they have soul.
