“Resurrecting Jesus”
Jesus: “Fellowship is good for the alleviation of many problems caused by chronic stress. When fellowships promote ignorance as a solution for chronic stress those who adhere to the ignorance walk with a form of godliness that denies the power thereof. Critical thinking requires us to properly use our logic and reason.”
pastor chuck: “Logic and reason? We want a parable.”
Jesus: “I’ll tell you what pastor chuck, let’s do this my way and you can use those skills you’ve honed to turn it into a parable, later.”
pastor chuck: “Sounds like a plan. Hit me with your best shot.”
Jesus: “Two thousand years ago I did not have the ability to understand Darwinism or DNA. You do. I didn’t need either to know atonement doctrine was being validated with a rib bone fib. It’s heresy. You’ve been sucker-punched by fraud and believe it is going to open the pearly gates and allow you to escape the wrath of God. If you had used your logic and reason properly you’d would have known I was not born of a virgin, didn’t rise from the grave, and won’t be riding on a white horse or descending from the clouds with an assault rifle. Those NT pericopes and the outlandish fiction called ‘miracles’ are all hokum. Tainting my memories with the imagery of Christ is like taking another one of Adam’s ribs to create Judaism 2.0. Grace doesn’t turn folk into bastard-hybrid Jews.”
Satan isn’t real. Jesus died.
“The stations of the cross obscure the lie
using a rib fib to lead folk astray.
There was no fall. The Torah’s elders lied.
The lie fosters integrity’s decay.”
“When grace illuminates truth that’s flawed
cognitive dissonance is ‘done away with.’”
