Psychological Warfare 505
“New eyes to see the dawn.”

gnofleas: “Can religious faith also serve as a catalyst for depression? When Christians use atonement doctrine to help them believe Jesus rose from the dead, courtesy of John 3:16, they have swallowed a fictional placebo. It’s a fictional placebo that makes many feel better, but it requires ignorance stamped holy. When ignorance usurps truth social cohesion suffers. I believe one of those primary consequences is depression. Imagine every American being able to support the view that ‘purgatory,’ ‘eternal damnation’ and ‘the belief that the devil is real’ structure hokum that must be ‘done away with.’ Truth is like a steroid for the empowerment of literacy. Literacy strengthens equality, liberty and justice for all. How?

tom: “When the U. S. Supreme Court is able to validate justice with Truth as its cornerstone, it replaces Adam and Eve with Wallace and Darwin. (9-0) Eradicating irrational fears and hatreds, wrought from ignorance that masquerades as grace from God, is like answered prayer.”

huck: “The efficacy of truth frees us from the depression that lingers in the minds of everyone who knows they have a tailbone, but can’t quite let go of the false belief that Jesus died to save their soul. Jesus did not rise to empower the heresy of atonement doctrine, the imagery of Christ did. Where did the imagery of Christ come from?”

class: “The birth of evangelical Judaism.”

gnofleas: “I’m taking the liberty of changing a word in the following excerpt to make my point. We are changing the word anger into ‘faith.’

“First, depression may be the sequel to ‘faith.’ When ‘faith’ is unsuccessful in averting danger or removing obstacles, when it does not restore your sense of control over the environment, you may eventually begin to feel helpless and apathetic. Studies of animals, children, and adults show that this kind of depression can be acquired as a result of struggling unsuccessfully in the world; it represents the collapse of effort, the perception that no energetic action will make a difference, that ‘faith’ against injustice or abuse has no effect on ending the injustice or abuse.” page 103, ibid

gnolice: “If we were able to agree that ‘ignorance’ and ‘irrational fears’ must certainly serve as catalysts for dysfunctional mental health (depression)”
gnovice: “and the Roberts court replaces Adam and Eve with Wallace and Darwin” (9-0)

gnolitter: “God blesses America with freedom to correct the faith that suffers from ‘a form of godliness that denies the power thereof.’”
