“New eyes to see the dawn.”

“Today, the word ‘sin’ has lost its power and awesome intensity. … We’ve abandoned the concept of sin, first, because we’ve left behind the depraved view of human nature.” David Brooks, page 54
If David’s comment possessed a modicum of truth there would be no Americans calling themselves ‘Christians’ or ‘Jews.’ Treating imperfect intellectualism as sacrosanct has serious consequences. Eden’s myth has left American governance lopsided by the inability to discern truth from fiction. The word “sin” is not “one of those words that is impossible to do without.” It does not need “to be reclaimed and modified.” Jesus died protesting this very point.
Coveting the ignorance derived from the belief that Original Sin has intrinsic value, because it allows Christians to believe John 3:16 represents grace from God, is a cornerstone for insanity. When it becomes a part of our “mental furniture” some are able to imagine Jesus descending from the clouds with an assault rifle.
faux pas 1. a slip or blunder in etiquette, manners, or conduct; an embarrassing social blunder or indiscretion. Origin of faux pas. 1670-1680. 1670-80; < French: literally, false step.
When myth is taught as truth the very act of teaching becomes an act of fraud. Should fraud be considered “an embarrassing blunder or indiscretion?” Should those who advocate affection for Judaism 1 or 2.0 be respected as wholesome members of society, when they use heresy to create the belief that “sin” is “one of those words that is impossible to do without.” ? Again, Jesus was murdered because he disagreed with David’s view.
When justice becomes real the causality derived from perjured truth masquerading as wisdom from God is “done away with.” In America, grace begins when those who support the use of ‘Original Sin’ are freed from the nonsense that makes Christians and Jews desire to be Christians or Jews.

When we acknowledge truth that’s flawed
we don’t confuse ‘Good News’ with fraud.
David: “Sin is one of those words that is impossible to do without. It is one of those words that have to be reclaimed and modified.”
elford: “If Albert was right and David is wrong, heresy will be ‘done away with.’ If David is right and Albert was wrong, the U. S. Supreme Court will continue to allow perjured truth to entrap Christians and Jews with imperfect intellectualism. If God is real, and wants to bless America with freedom from ignorance stamped holy, we can stop butchering goats and do away with atonement doctrine’s ability to diminish intellectual integrity. If the word ‘sin’ does not dwell in God’s vocabulary, why should it dwell in ours, David? Primitive fundamentalism cannot be used to fix the problems generated by camouflaging stupidity with the memory of Jesus.
Grace does not mandate heresy as “a necessary piece of our mental furniture.”
